I'm over a week late on this post, and haven't posted much art lately... I have been falling off... so let's start the year with a monthly catchup! ✨

December Hiccups, December Holidays!

So fun fact, I do all my art on a gaming laptop! It's five years old at this point, and December was the month it REALLY showed its age... as in, the GPU fan for it stopped working properly. I did replace it within Christmas week, but it did kick my ability to draw in the nuts for that month. I miiight need to replace my laptop entirely at some point — it is pretty old, after all.

In the meantime, I did celebrate Christmas with my family! Despite the hour-long drive to get there, it was still a pretty nice time. Tasty food, great ambiance, I had fun all around! I did celebrate New Year's by my lonesome self, but mainly because I was working on the 31st. Still, took the time to do chores and greet the new year with a good night sleep. ^^

Blender can do a lot of stuff.

Ever since I fixed my laptop's fans, I felt a pretty big boost in my creative drive. I knew 2025 would be the year I would experiement with what I can make in terms of art, and I do have Blender installed on my laptop...

So I tried animating in Blender with Grease Pencil! I have something saucier in the works too, but in the meantime, here's a short WIP of Big Bandit from Nuclear Throne!

It's pretty rough around the edges, and there won't be additional shots in this (hopefully), but it's pretty fun to work on it so far! And that's not the only thing I'm dabbling into!

Yup, I've been dabbling in 3D modeling too! I've only done the blockout so far, and I just started sculpting Doug (Monster Prom) too, but it's been pretty fun too! I *may* have given him... er... extra details, but I won't show those here for rating-related reasons.

Conclusion

So 3D isn't off the table for me, animating isn't off the table for me either... There's a lot of things I want to try out creatively, and I can't wait to see how far I can go with this! 2025 is the year I become unstoppable! Carnally or otherwise!

But in the meantime, I should definitively work on my backlog of art, haha. Until next time!

Anyhoo, hello everyone! I hope everyone had a fun, spooky October so far! Things have been alright on my side, calm but alright. I didn't dress up for halloween (at least IRL), but next year will be it! Next year...

Happy Birthday to Meeeee :3

I was born on November 9th, and today is the 10th… It means what you think it is: I'm now 23 years old!! My age is now sequential, it's awesome!

Yesterday was pretty uneventful, aside from getting Bomb Rush Cyberfunk from a friend (thanks Ivan) and a couple of calls and texts from family members and friends, but it was pretty nice! Time went by a little too quickly for my taste though, haha… 😅

Otherwise I had nothing special planned for this new year around the sun, at least on the day-of. I'll see if I can make something proper or not… Only time will tell!

Arm update: No more fracture!

The title says it all: my arm is completely healed from my arm fracture! It hasn't fully *recovered* from it yet, and I'll get on that in a moment, but I can now work normally, do manual labor, and all that physical stuff. Horray!

Now, my arm still can't quite extend properly or fold onto itself, which was expected. My orthopedist actually suggested me specific exercises to regain my arm mobility fully, but they also told me my arm might never bend like it used to… It sucks, but there's only a 2° difference from my other arm. I'll live! I always will!

Closing thoughts

I'm aware recent world events made everyone tensed up about the future. Everything is both up in the air and so, so scary. I don't live in the United States, but the Elephant in the next room over can still knock on our walls. Economically, that is.

It's worrying, but at the same time… I know there's *a lot* of people willing to fight so their futures can be as bright as they can be. They're essentially stars, to themselves and others. And I really admire those people in the front lines.

I've heard the best medicine to fear and anxiety is community. So stick together, be loud and clear, and stick around. Brighter tomorrows await all of us, we just need to be there to see it. ^^

That's what I believe, anyhoo.

I wonder how people would describe this month. Terrifying? Scary? Haunting? The word's at the tip of my tongue...

Jokes aside, hello everyone! I hope everyone had a good September so far. I know I do! There's Sonic Generations coming up this month, and I can't wait to get spooky this season... Let's just hope my drive to draw cooperates with me, haha.

Arm stuff!

Rehab is going more or less okay, and my arm doesn't hurt at all anymore! I just gotta get my elbow to fully bend and whatnot, but at least I can draw again. Still can't use my arm forcefully though. It sucks, but at least I can tie my hair again... And lace my shoes...

Financial stuff following the accident (which happened on the 13th... scary...) is getting tiresome though. I have no trouble paying bills, but it's getting compensated for the work I couldn't do that's headache inducing... There's so much paperwork involved, and I've talked to a couple of people to help me with it. They helped greatly with it, but it's still a lot to wrap my pea-brain around!

Make sure to double, triple, and quadruple check your stuff folks. Accidents are a pain, literally! I'll be okay in the end though, that's for sure. ^^

SFW stuff?

In other news, there's some character doodles I've been sitting on while digging through my stuff! I'd post them right away here, but there is a slight problem... sort of. These characters are from my SFW account!

I won't shy away from talking about my SFW identity, Vinix_period, since I do some pretty cool stuff whenever I post there. I originally made my Magey persona to make sure there's no crossovers between my two audiances. However, I started making cool stuff with Magey (or at least, planning to), and I've gained the desire to draw my non-Magey OCs butt naked, covered in oil, and having some HOT and SEXY wrestling matches... or something.

Since this account is my only account on Newgrounds, and I don't really feel like making a second account for SFW stuff, I figured... why not? Might as well show off my SFW stuff here too, as Magey! At least the tagging system works well in that regard! If you're here for porn, you can still filter that stuff! I'll still make sexy stuff, don't worry!

Closing thoughts...

Monthly updates don't sound that bad honestly! I'll do my best to upkeep them, but I might miss them by a couple of days or so... but that's okay!

I might open commissions eventually; not for financial reasons, but because it could be fun! I did a couple of Discord openings before, and I'd like to open them again with a shiny new commission sheet! Maybe I'll use the old one, but on the other hand... shiny...

I have too many WIPs I need to finish, haha... I'll work on them!

Kinda says it all in the title, doesn't it?

The short version of this is pretty straight forward : I have a broken arm! A minor fracture at the elbow, sure, but it's still a fracture on my dominant arm... which I use for drawing. So no new art in general. -_-'

Buuuuut if I can't draw at this moment, I still have a huge backlog of art I haven't posted on NG yet! So for the coming week (or month, depending on what my orthopedist says), I'll be uploading most of my remaining art on other platforms, including this one!

I'll see how to handle comms on NG since they want the OG artists to post them themselves, but I did take and finish a couple of comms several months ago, so I get to post the non-private ones! ^^

But I'll see about that when I get there. For now, I'll focus on relaxing and healing; I have meds, and I know for certain I'll heal in due time! That time just needs to pass, y'know?
